June 28, 1943 - April 23, 2017

James Ahart of Jacksonville, Oregon entered into Heaven April 23, 2017 in Medford, Ore. He was born in Lodi, California.

James was an avid fisherman and hunter; trout and venison were enjoyed by his family. He spent two years in the U.S. Navy during high school and went through boot camp but an auto accident and bolt in his ankle prevented him from later service.

James worked for Young's Payless Market in Lockeford, Calif., Pliler and Lillie in Valley Springs, Calveras Cement in San Andreas, and Aerojet in Sacramento. He was a member of the American Legion, Glencoe, and Living Hope Church in Medford.

James is survived by four children, Patti (Tim), Tommy Wayne Ahart, James Lewis Ahart, and Myra Chauhan; four grandchildren, Kate (Joshua), James William (Darcie), Jordan Wayne (Emily), and Amanda Lynne (David); two great-grandchildren, Carson and Logan; and hisbeloved wife, Bonnie Yount Ahart. James was preceded in death by his mother, Lorena Young Ulich; his father, Harry Ahart; brother, Gary Ahart and wife, Vernalee Grimes Ahart.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 2017 at San Andreas Chapel, followed by lunch at Goodfriends in Valley Springs, Calif.
