April 19, 1934 - June 27, 2017
Homer Ethan Pleyer was born April 19, 1934 in Prairie Hill, Missouri to James and Hazel Pleyer. He was their fourth child and when he was about eight years old, his family moved to Medford, Oregon, where a younger sister was born two years later.
For the past 56 years, due to a disability, Homer resided in Glendale, California where he was a resident of Alden Terrace Convalescent Home. Since his teen years, Homer had a fascination with electronics and worked tirelessly on his hobby of restoring old radios.
On June 27, 2017 after a long illness, Homer joined his three older siblings and their spouses in their Heavenly home: Everette and Arlene Pleyer (Boston, Massachusetts); Eleanor and Edwin Hayes (Medford, Ore.); and Kathleen and Robert Lull (Central Point, Ore.)
He is survived by a sister, Evalyn (Duane) Cole of Lyons, Ore.; several nieces and nephews scattered across the United States; and a host of cousins.
