December 11, 1919 - June 30, 2017 

Harry Lloyd Jones, 97, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at his home in Yuba City, California.     

Harry was born Dec 11, 1919 in Worley, Idaho, and spent his formative years in Spokane, Washington.     

After the outbreak of World War II, Harry honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, primarily in the Pacific Theater. Harry earned the Bronze Star for his actions at Guadalcanal.      

After returning stateside, Harry married Elizabeth (Tyra) Jones and the couple had five children.       

Harry worked for Guy F. Atkinson Construction for over 30 years. His career included various assignments in the western U.S. as well as South and Central America.   

After he retired, Harry settled in Eagle Point, Oregon with his second wife, Pauline (Lacy) Jones, and enjoyed his golden years with his extended family.     

Harry is survived by four of his children, Beverly Burman of New Castle, Delaware, Paul Jones of Yuba City, Calif., Phillip Jones of Brentwood, Tennessee, and Sarah Tornes of Las Vegas, Nevada. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.     

In addition to his parents and both of his wives, Harry was preceded in death by his daughter, Gail Johnson and a great-grandchild, Tracy James.      

Services will be held graveside at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Memory Gardens in Medford, Ore.  There will be a viewing from 3:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 at Perl Funeral Home in Medford.
