Julie Gayle Hagert, 59, of Medford, Oregon passed away suddenly Thursday, July 27, 2017.
She was born March 3, 1958 to Mildred (Mille) Delaine Tafoya Venable and Ronald (Ronnie) Tex Venable, in Simi Valley, California, where she spent her childhood. In 1981 she moved to the Rogue Valley where she met and married the love of her life, Dave Hagert. She is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years; sons, Ryan and Jake Hagert; daughters, Lexy Hagert and Krissy Vanderpool; three great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Breelyn, and Camden; mother, Millie; brothers, Jon and Kelly Venable; sister, Debra Ekstrom; and many nieces and nephews. Her father Ronnie passed away in 1994. Spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren was her number one priority.
At the time of her death, Julie worked as a Return-to-Work Specialist at Norman Peterson & Associates. Previously, she worked as a realtor and in the food and beverage industry as a bartender, server, catering manager, and restaurant manager. Julie, known for her smile, laughter, and quick wit made friends wherever she went. Her open, generous personality; her joyful spirit; and love of life will be missed by many.
Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Grace Point Church, 213 S. Fir, Medford, Oregon at 11:30 am. Contributions may be made in memory of Julie Hagert to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a cause close to her heart.
