July 29, 1932 – July 15, 2017

On Saturday, July 15, 2017, the sun made its final journey over the yardarm for Olive D’Ann Beck Note. D’Ann (Bumpsie) was born July 29, 1932 in Medford, Oregon, the third child of Mike and Edith Beck.

Her childhood years were spent in Medford where her father founded Beck’s Bakery. In 1950 D’Ann graduated from Medford High School. After graduation she went to Los Angeles County General Hospital for three years of nurse’s training. In 1953 she graduated as a registered nurse.

On April 9, 1954 D’Ann married Gerald William Note in Medford, Ore. D’Ann and Jerry had three children, Mary, Mike, and Polly. D’Ann and Jerry lived in many locations across the country, retiring from the hospitality industry in 1994. Her beloved husband, Jerry passed away December 15, 2003.

D’Ann was living in Sparks, Nevada with her daughter, Polly.

D’Ann is survived by her daughters, Mary Wargo and Polly Note; son, Mike (Debbie) Note; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Edith Beck; her husband, Gerald Note; sister, LaMurle (Teddie) Beck Ringland; brother, Fred Beck; and son-in-law, Robert Wargo II.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2017, in the shelter at the Eagle Point National Cemetery, 2763 Riley Road, Eagle Point, Ore. A  celebration of life will be held afterward at Mike and Debbie’s.
