March 6, 1940 - September 1, 2017
Elizabeth Ann Stringer, also known as Betty Ann or Liz, was received into the arms of Jesus September 1, 2017 surrounded by family at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Ashland, Oregon the youngest child of Raymond Henry Taylor and Opal Mae Taylor.
As a young bride she married Donald LeRoy Coghill, together raising three children, Deb, Lori, and Donny. Liz was a devoted mother filling her home with love, laughter, and life. When the children got older she pursued a career as a hairdresser, becoming part owner of Fashionette Beauty Salon in Ashland. Her devotion, kindness, and dedication spread to her clients.
She infected people with her humor and fun-loving personality, seasoned with a little sassiness. Liz forged not temporary relationships, but life-long relationships.
Liz married Randy Stringer May 2, 1987, blending his four children, Brian, Scott, Alison, and Austin with hers. Together their life was made of adventure, pulling up long-time roots in Ashland and moving to Kodiak, Alaska, followed by Hermiston, Redmond, and Shady Cove, Ore. Travel in their motor home was a favorite pastime.
Along each stop Liz would involve herself in Bible study groups to make new friends, learn more of the Bible, and Jesus.
She is survived by husband, Randy; sister, Mona Mitchell; children, Deb (Jeff) Wilson, Lori (Tip) Quinowski, and Donny (Martha) Coghill; step-children, Brian (Denise), Scott (Christy), and Austin Stringer, and Alison Hatch; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and first husband.
Through Liz's precious life journey the family would like to thank her team of doctors and hospice staff that worked to make the journey bearable.
A celebration of life is being held at Trail Christian Fellowship, Fireside Room, September 16, 2017 at 3:00 p.m.
