Charles (Chuck) Garlin Ross passed away September 21, 2017 at his home in Ruch, Oregon. He was born May 25, 1931 in Checotah, Oklahoma to James and Leetha Ross.

Chuck moved from Oklahoma as a small child to Oildale in the Bakersfield area. He left high school as a senior to go on a wheat harvest, then went to work in Coolidge, Arizona at Bashes Grocery. He met and married Lois Rogers in 1950 and had daughters, Tonya (Frank) Guillena and Deborah (Dave) Auchard and son, James (Jimmy) Ross. He married Susan Young February 13, 1959 in Lurdsburg, New Mexico. Together, they had a son, Charles (Kimi) Ross and a daughter, Tanja (Wim) Roeloffs.

Chuck was a truck owner/operator and truck painter. He was a member of the Friends of the Applegate Fire District #9. He was a gifted oil and acrylic painter, and his passion was his family. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Susan; son, Chuck Ross; daughters, Tonya Guillena, Deborah Auchard, and Tanja Roeloffs; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Leetha Ross; son, Jimmy Ross; grandson, Kyle Ross; brothers, Kenneth Ross, Bille Joe, and Dale Ross; and sisters, Addie Ross and Bettie Ramirez.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Ruch Community Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Ruch Community Bible Church could be made.
