October 4, 1954 - January 6, 2018

Darlene Joyce Sheile, 63, passed away January 6, 2018 at her home with her family surrounding her.

Darlene was born October 4, 1954 to George and Janet Gaddes, in Stoneham, Massachusetts. She was the youngest of four children. They moved to California where she graduated from Carson High School in 1972. Darlene moved to Oregon in 1976, and in 1982 she met and married Larry Sheile Jr. She loved being part of church and cherished praising the Lord, serving on several committees such as the Meals Ministry and the Prayer Chain, and always enjoyed helping others. Darlene worked as a waitress her whole life, in which she took such great pride and joy, often praying for strangers and for her regular customers as she considered them family. She retired from Elmer’s in April 2016.

Darlene loved to read her Bible, praying for others and along with them, spending time with the family, laughing, and always wearing a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, and a devoted wife, mother, and friend, always thinking of others first.

“To know her was to love her.”

She is survived by her husband of 36 years; her mother, Janet Hodson of Hemet, California; daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Josh Winter and granddaughters, Katilyn, Kiarra, and Adela; her son, Justin Sheile and grandson, Gunnar; her youngest son, Devin Sheile; sister, Janet Muse; brother, George and Gail Gaddes; and many nieces, nephews, and lots of very dear friends.

She is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I ask you to join us for her celebration of life which will be held March 3 at 11 o’clock at Trail Christian Fellowship with a potluck to follow.
