June 6, 1941 - November 27, 2017
Judy Mae Christenson, 76, made her transition from this lifetime the evening of November 27 with family at her side. Her final hours were spent surrounded by loved ones and were highlighted by a beautiful musical accompaniment offered by a visiting harpist that day.
Born Judy Mae Messinger June 6, 1941, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Judy was the fourth of six children born to Wallace and Ethyl Messinger, and grew up in the home built by her father in the Holladay area of Salt Lake City.
Judy established a very successful Therapy practice in Los Altos Hills, California and later relocated to Ashland Oregon. She would spend almost 40 years guiding others to deeper personal insights and understanding around the enduring human condition.
Judy is survived by her children, David Christenson, Eric Christenson (Francie), and Amy Christenson; five grandchildren, Kyle Christenson, Kelsey Christenson, Dylan Floodeen, Trevor Christenson, and Lindsey Christenson; and sisters Jean Messenger Deem, Lois Messenger, and Susan Messinger Petersen.
In April 2018, a Celebration of Life gathering is planned for friends and family to come together. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Nature Conservancy in tribute to Dr. Judy Mae Christenson.
