COASTWIDE:  Fishing conditions will be fair today with 10-knot winds and 6-foot seas, but forecasts call for 25-knot winds Saturday and 15-knot winds Sunday. That wind, though it comes with less surf than normal, likely will blow most bottomfish anglers off the water through the weekend.

OCEAN OUTLOOK

COASTWIDE:  After a series of closed-bar days, winds will die down today to 5 knots with 7-foot seas, followed by 15- and 20-knot days that won't kick the surf up too much more. That means morning runs for black rockfish and lingcod appear promising out of Brookings but probably not Gold Beach.
