CAVE JUNCTION — The Illinois Valley girls basketball team beat St. Mary’s, 47-33, in the Southern Cascade League playoff game at Lakeview High on Wednesday.

Grace Johnson had seven points for the Crusaders, who finished their year at 11-12 overall.

Ibixica Alvarez added six points for St. Mary’s, which led 9-4 after the first quarter and 20-17 at halftime.

Tori Johnson scored 14 points for the Cougars (14-8), who rallied back in the second half, outscoring the Crusaders, 15-3 in the third quarter.
