The Southern Oregon Spartans used a pair of late goals to top the Vancouver Rangers, 2-1, during Western States Hockey League action at The RRRink on Saturday.

Adam Oja had the go-ahead goal with 9 minutes, 38 seconds left in the third period and Jake Eubank made it a 2-0 advantage for the Spartans with 6:58 to go.

Vladislav Polyashov scored with 1:06 remaining for the Rangers (17-34), who earned a 32-31 shot advantage against Southern Oregon (33-18).

The Spartans will go for the series sweep at 1:30 this afternoon.
