St. Mary’s senior Bryce Bramscher has committed to the Oregon State University football program as a preferred walk-on in an announcement made Wednesday by the school.
Bramscher, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound receiver and safety, hauled in 50 receptions for 1,281 yards and 19 touchdowns for the Crusaders, who finished 6-4 at the Class 3A level and advanced to the state playoffs for the first time in 22 years.
Bramscher, who expects to play tight end at OSU, was a second-team all-state selection at receiver this past season.
“I’m looking forward to the college experience at OSU and playing football for an outstanding coaching staff,” Bramscher said in the school’s announcement.
Bramscher joins locals Sam Curtius, a senior offensive lineman, and Nick Janakes, a redshirt freshman linebacker, on the Beavers roster. Curtius played at South Medford High and Janakes at North Medford High. Former South Medford standout Mitch Singler is also on the coaching staff at Oregon State.
