Pat Moore recorded a no-hitter for the South Medford softball team in a 17-0 win in five innings over Willamette during Southwest Conference play at South Medford High on Thursday.

Moore had 14 strikeouts and one walk for the Panthers, who put up 11 runs in the fourth inning.

During South’s big fourth, Jaden Alexander and Bailee Tatum hit back-to-back home runs. Alexander crushed a three-run homer followed by Tatum’s solo shot.

Tatum finished 4-for-4 with two triples, four runs scored and three RBIs, Alexander 2-for-4 with four RBIs and and two runs and Gaby Garcia 3-for-3 with four RBIs.

The Panthers (9-4, 6-2 SWC) received a 2-for-4, two-run, two-RBI performance from Jeweliana Burgoyne-Russell while Lanie Rodriguez went 3-for-4 with two runs and Lexi Jones 2-for-3.

Bowman and Mathewson both scored once and drove in a run and Baker stole three bases for the Pirates (2-10, 0-5 Sky).

BANDON CROSSINGS INVITATIONAL: At Bandon, Ben Quast and Max Valle’s top-five finishes catapulted Cascade Christian to first place at Bandon Crossings.

Quast shot a 5-over-par 77, the third-lowest round of the day, while Valle went for an 81 — fifth-lowest score — and Nash O’Hara added an 89. The Challengers scored a 337, besting runner-up Marshfield by 10 strokes.

Camden Chose posted the fourth-best round with a 79 for Phoenix, which took fourth with a 398.
