EUGENE — The South Medford softball team piled up 27 hits en route to a Southwest Conference sweep of Willamette on Wednesday, downing the Wolverines, 15-11 and 13-6.

Jewel Burgoyne-Russell was 4-for-4 with four runs scored, Bailee Tatum 3-for-5 with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs and Jaden Alexander 3-for-5 with three RBIs and three runs for the Panthers (15-8, 12-6 SWC), who wrapped up league play with the wins. Ashley Wolfard finished 3-for-5 with two RBIs and Rikiya Bratcher 2-for-3.

In Game 2, Burgoyne-Russell went 3-for-5 with four RBIs and two runs and Kara Jacobson 3-for-4 withthree runs against Willamette (3-22, 0-18).
