MARYSVILLE, Calif. — The Medford Rogues scored four first-inning runs and beat the Yuba City Bears, 11-5, in the Great West League game Wednesday at Colusa Casino Stadium.

Jake Hellweg was 2-for-4 with three runs, Alex Isola 2-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs and Clay Valenzuela-Reece 2-for-5 for the Rogues (5-4), who led 9-0 before the Bears (2-6) scored three runs in the seventh.

Pitcher Chris Painter earned the win after allowing three unearned runs, four hits and three walks with three strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.
