The Medford Rogues saved their best for last on Saturday.

The Rogues broke open a tied game with a six-run eighth inning to beat the Lincoln Potters, 9-3, during Great West League play at Harry & David Field.

With the game even at 3 in the eighth, Davis Delorefice, Clay Valenzuela-Reece and Bryce Tilton all singled to load the bases. Alex Isola hit a sacrifice fly to bring in the tie-breaking run, and the Rogues tacked on five more.

Isola was 3-for-4, Connor Lowrie 3-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs, Scotty Wright 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Jayden Hanna 2-for-4 for Medford.

The Rogues (12-5) and Potters (10-7) wrap their three-game series at 6:35 tonight. All fathers and father figures get in for free.

American Legion A

CENTRAL POINT 3-3, SOUTH MEDFORD 1-13: South Medford rebounded from a narrow loss in the first game and captured the second in five innings to gain a split in the Area 4 doubleheader at South Medford High.

In the first game, Central Point ace Larson Kindreich checked the Colts on two hits, striking out 10, walking one and hitting a batter.

He also was 3-for-4 and tripled in the Comets’ three-run fourth inning. Brady Brock, Blake Hollingsworth and Ike Gilliland each had RBI singles in the frame.

Brock was 2-for-3, while South’s Jaalen Owens recorded an RBI single.

In Game 2, the Colts (2-2) scored in each inning, including six in the fourth.

Robby Carle and Owens each had three hits and four RBIs. Clint Campbell and Bennett Smith each had two hits, as did Central Point’s Kindreich.

Campbell pitched for the first time, allowing seven hits, fanning three and walking two for the win.

NORTH MEDFORD SPLITS: At Corvallis, North Medford defeated Marist, 7-5, and lost to Crescent Valley, 5-4, in the Central Valley Wood Bat Tournament at Crescent Valley High.

In the first game, the Mavericks scored two runs each in the sixth and seventh innings to pull out the victory. Kasey Buchanan had an RBI single in the sixth, and Nick Mastroni and Ryan Sandoval had RBIs in the seventh.

Josh Robbins was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Against Crescent Valley, North Medford’s Jonathan Gassman was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a stolen base.
