MARYSVILLE, Calif. — The Medford Rogues topped the Marysville Gold Sox, 2-1, during Great West League action on Monday.

Alex Isola's two-out single scored Caleb Smith and put the Rogues (13-6) ahead for good in the top of the third inning.

Dylan Pearce earned the win after allowing one earned run, three hits and two talks with six strikeouts in six innings. Jordan Ragan picked up the save after finishing off the ninth against the Gold Sox (6-12).

Eric Yang was 3-for-3 with an RBI for Medford.

SOUTH MEDFORD 2, NORTH JACKSON 0: At Eagle Point, starter Bennett Thompson tossed a gem for South Medford, limiting North Jackson to just two hits.

Thompson struck out seven and walked one and went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run. In relief, Robby Carle struck out four over the final two innings to preserve the win for the Panthers.

The Eagles dropped to 5-4 in Area 4 play.
