ASHLAND — Tickets to watch the 2017 Southern Oregon University football team attempt to get back on top of the Frontier Conference went on sale to the general public Friday at souraiders.com/tickets, and tailgate passes are now available too.
Those with questions can call the SOU athletics office for assistance at 541-552-6772. The Raiders, who are 25-5 in front of the home crowd since the start of the 2011 season, will play five regular-season games at Raider Stadium, all against Frontier opponents. Reserved (seatback) season-ticket packages are $75, general admission season tickets are $55 and general admission season tickets for seniors (over 62) are $30.
Tailgate passes can be purchased at souraiders.com/tickets. Season passes for double slots (with room for one vehicle) cost $150 and season passes for single slots cost $100. Those who wish to reserve individual game passes can do so by contacting Mike Beagle in the SOU Alumni Office at 541-552-6874 or email@example.com.
All tailgates begin three hours prior to kickoff. The tailgate area, which fans can enter on Iowa Street, is located behind the Raider Stadium scoreboard.
The season opens with SOU's first non-Saturday home game in 59 years — a Thursday night special on Aug. 31 at 6 p.m.against rival Eastern Oregon. It's slated to be the only home game of the season to be played under the lights.
Following two weeks on the road, the Raiders return to Ashland on Sept. 23 for another heated rivalry game against Carroll (Mont.) in the teams' only matchup of the season. Rocky Mountain (Mont.) visits on Sept. 30 during SOU Sports Hall of Fame Weekend, and the Raiders have a Homecoming date with College of Idaho on Oct. 21. Their home schedule rounds out the next week, Oct. 28, against Montana Western.
