Caroline McMahon, a junior at Cascade Christian, was named co-player of the year and Challengers coach Rob Kleker was unanimously voted coach of the year in Class 3A all-state selections.

McMahon, a junior outside hitter who was the Southern Cascade League’s player of the year — averaging four kills, three digs and 1½ aces per set with a 52.8 kill percentage — shared 3A’s player of the year honors with Breana Edwards, a senior from Rainier.

Kleker led the Challengers to their second straight 3A championship and a 25-3 overall record.

Joining McMahon on the all-state first team was Challengers teammate Allison Winter, a senior setter.

Also receiving all-state honors for Cascade Christian was Aubrey Kievit, a junior libero who was named to the second team, and Alyssa Vaughn, a senior outside hitter who was selected to the third team.
