PHOENIX — The Eagle Point wrestling team won all four of its duals to finish first among seven teams competing Friday at the Phoenix Invitational.

Eagle Point defeated host Phoenix 42-36 in the championship round.

Highlighting the Eagles’ effort: Brady Thrash, competing at 132 pounds, won all four of his matches by fall, while 138-pounder Seth McCoy won all three of his matches by fall.

Standout performances for Phoenix were had by 145-pounder Michael Walker, a sophomore returning state qualifier who won all four of his matches by fall, and junior Elijah Santana, competing at 170, who also won all four of his matches by fall.

For Cascade Christian, sophomore Gabe Vidlak, a third-place finisher at state last year, went undefeated in his three matches.
