EAGLE POINT — Eagle Point rallied from an early deficit and defeated Cascade Christian, 56-52, in the season-opening nonleague girls basketball game for both teams.

Andrea Flores sank two free throws with six seconds left to seal the victory for the Eagles, who trailed 8-0 at the outset. Teammate Nicole Lawler contributed a key 3-pointer down the stretch.

Eagle Point was 13 of 16 at the line and made seven 3-pointers, including two each by Kaylee Shelton, Odalis Rincones and Ashli Meerten.

Carlene Hart led the Eagles with 13 points, and Meerten had 10.

Emily Stephens scored 14 for Cascade Christian, Liz White had 12 and Mallory Meilicke 11.
