p>Dale and Ruth Niedermeyer of Medford celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary March 13 with a dinner at the Rogue Regency Inn.
The couple's daughter, Patrice Hunker of Medford, hosted the event.
Dale Niedermeyer married Ruth Teorey on March 13, 1947, in Merced, Calif. They have lived in Medford since their marriage.
Dale is a lifelong resident of Medford. He graduated from Medford High School in 1944, then went to Wright Junior College, where he studied electronics. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Hansford in the South Pacific for two years. He worked as a farmer and builder until he retired.
Ruth graduated from Upper Darby High School in Upper Darby, Pa., in 1938, and from Pierce Business College in Philadelphia in 1939.
During the war, she worked for Glen L. Martin Aircraft Co. in Philadelphia before moving to Medford.
The Niedermeyers have three children, Patrice Hunker of Medford, Dana Niedermeyer of St. Helens, and a son, Grant, deceased. They also have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
