Vaughn and Marjorie Clark of Medford celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a Caribbean cruise earlier this year. A reception, with 35 guests attending, was hossted by family members aboard the Carnival Liberty.
Vaughn Clark married Marjorie Kay Potter on Sept. 7, 1957, in Medford.
Vaughn was born in Medford. After graduating from Medford High School, he joined the Navy and served for four years. He worked at American Steel for 20 years. He retired from Wheeling Corrugated in 1992.
Marjorie was born in Grant City, Mo. Her family moved to Eugene in 1951. In 1953, they moved to Medford, where she attended school until 1956, when the family moved to Ashland. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1957.
Marjorie worked for Harry and David as a preferred account executive in the business gift division for 23 years, retiring in 2001.
The Clarks have three children, Vicki (Mike) Burton of Vancouver, Wash., James (Karen) Clark, Ringgold, Ga., and Kelly (Deborah) Clark of Forest Grove. They also have eight grandchildren.
