Jameson

Reece and Fern Jameson of Medford celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Dec. 2 with a dinner at the Jacksonville Inn.

Hosts of the event, with 40 guests attending, were their children, Lana Tolls of Juneau, Alaska, Ronnie Kindrick of Grants Pass, and Darrol Jameson of Medford.

Reece Jameson married Fern Richards on Nov. 2, 1942 in Inglewood, Calif.

Reece went into the Air Force two months after getting married. He was a tailgunner on a B-17 and flew 25 missions over Germany.

The Jamesons moved to Grants Pass in 1947, following Reece's parents, who had moved there from Utah. Reece worked in the finance business and for the Department of Veterans' Affairs.

Fern worked in the banking business in Grants Pass and Eugene.

They moved to Medford in 1970 and Reece eventually worked for Crater Title, retiring in 1992. Fern worked at Rogue Valley Hospital and for Dr. Kantor, retiring in 1993.

Reece has been an avid golfer for years and hopes to get back to it in the spring after having had hip replacement surgery this fall.

Fern was an active member of the YMCA for more than 30 years, and was still going to aerobics a few years ago.

Reece and Fern have always been and continue to be very involved and loving with their children and grandchildren.

The Jamesons have three children, Lana Tolls (Eric McDowell) of Juneau, Alaska, Ronnie (Charles) Kindrick of Grants Pass, and Darrol (Marj) Jameson of Medford.

They also have six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
