Dick and Fran Flodstrom of Phoenix celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June with a week at Sun River Resort. The event, with immediate family attending, was hosted by their children and spouses.
Dick Flodstrom married Fran Carbone on March 7, 1959, in San Jose, Calif.
After their marriage, they moved to Los Angeles, where Dick worked for Dennison Manufacturing and Fran worked for Bank of America. In 1976, they became co-owners of Active Office Supply in Klamath Falls and Fran went to work at Klamath County School District.
They sold the business in 1989 and Dick went to work part-time for Staples. Fran retired in 2000.
The Flodstroms moved to the Rogue Valley in 2000, where Dick continues to work part-time at Staples and Fran volunteers at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
They enjoy going on cruises and visiting and playing with their grandchildren.
They have two children, Erik (LeAnne) Flodstrom of Beaverton, and Mary Frances (Bob) Hoo of Costa Mesa, Calif. They also have three grandchildren.
