50th Anniversary: Al and Sandy Wells
Al and Sandy Wells celebrated their 50th anniversary June 29, 2018, at a beach house in Newport.
Al spent many years working in sporting goods departments, including Big Y, Bazaar, Blackbird and Big Bear. He eventually became known for Uncle Al’s Hot Dogs in front of G.I. Joe’s.
Sandy spent 32 years teaching school, her last 17 years spent at Central Point Elementary.
Al and Sandy have four children: Taressa Laurance, Mitch Wells, McKenzie Lesser and Alissa Watson.
They have five grandchildren: Hazel, Hadley and Wells Watson, Jordan Knight and Sydney Lesser; and two great-grandsons, Micah and Gabriel.
After retiring in 2001, Al and Sandy enjoyed traveling in their motorhome to visit family and friends.
