Oregon setter captures award in CCC

ASHLAND -- Southern Oregon setter Erin Lytle was named co-setter of the week for the Cascade Collegiate Conference on Monday.

Lytle, a 5-foot-8 junior from Ashland, ranks second in the NAIA with a 12.86 assist average per game. She had 75 assists last weekend as the Raiders swept Northwest College and Concordia.

Lytle had 48 assists, 10 digs and two blocks against Concordia.

She ranks eighth among CCC servers, averaging .442 aces per game (collegiate matches are best-of-five games).

SOU senior outside hitter Susan Rodinsky is No. 2 in the conference with 4.3 kills per game -- 185 overall. Rodinsky is fifth in attack percentage (.316) and fourth in aces (.512).

SOU senior middle blocker Nola Miller leads the CCC with .443 attack percentage, with a 151 kills in 273 attacks. She's No. 6 in kills, averaging 3.51, and No. — in blocks with 1.21 per game.

Former Crater standout Teri Schneider, who now plays for Western Baptist, is No. 9 in attack percentage (.293) among CCC players and No. 11 in blocks, average .685 per game.

, Goodwin claim Cedar Links title

Bob Herried and Bob Goodwin walked away with the team title Sunday in the Cedar Links Men's Club Invitational.

Herried and Goodwin combined to shoot 71 for the championship in the gross competition. The team of Bob Capsey and Phil Cardin finished second at 71, with the team of Jim Maudlin and Dave Howlett finishing third at 71.

Bruce Willits won the individual competition by carding a 75 in the gross competition. Goodwin finished second at 77 and Cardin third at 77.

In the net competitions, the team of Gary Riley and John Robertson finished first at 58, with Riley earning individual net honors with a 67.
