Loggers storm to volleyball win

KLAMATH FALLS -- Butte Falls recorded 15 aces and remained undefeated in Skyline A League Southern Division volleyball with a 15-4, 15-9 victory over Hosanna Christian at Henley High.

Junior Jessica Bergren led the Loggers (6-2, 6-0 Sky A) at the service line with five aces.

She (Bergren) was able to move the ball around the court and pick her spots, Butte Falls coach Mike Harrington said. That made it difficult for Hosanna to figure out what we were doing.

As a team our serving is starting to settle down, added Harrington. We're not so erratic.

Butte Falls senior Sara Thompson paced the front row with six kills and two blocks.

Sophomore Elizabeth McLauchlan added two blocks, while junior Sara Lawrence contributed four digs.

Butte Falls has a key Southern Division home match Tuesday against arch-rival Prospect (6-1 Sky A).

The Loggers handed Prospect its only division loss.
