RVCC Ladies Pro-Am

The team of Pat Huffer, Demi Waliser, Annette Maurer and Barb Field took home the title by one stroke in the RVCC Ladies Pro-Am Thursday at Rogue Valley Country Club.

Finishing second with a 127 team score were Dan Coughlin, Barb Pinkham, Lynn Smith and Midge Nieto.

Amanda Nealy carded the low gross score among amateurs with a 77, while Linda Soyland topped the amateur net results with a 66.

Coughlin posted the top professional score with a 71.

Alan B. Holmes event

Tom Hamlin and Larry Collins teamed to win the gross title by carding a 64 Friday in the Alan B. Holmes Scholarship Tournament at Rogue Valley Country Club.

Jerry Eklund and Dan Creverling combined for the net title at 58.5, finishing one stroke ahead of Gary Glass and Russ Batzer (59.5).

Deanna Wilson and Mary Ellen Plankenhorn carded a 66.5 score to win the ladies division.

A pair of Medford women finished in the top 10 in the 8K walk at the 31st annual Journal Jag Oct. 10 in Reno, Nev.

Julie Johnson finished fourth with a time of — hour, 6 minutes, while Rita Hildreth placed seventh with a mark of 1:10. Both women were in the 60-69 division.
