Butte Falls closes in on district title
BUTTE FALLS — Butte Falls set up a Southern Cascade League Southern Division showdown today with a victory Friday over North Lake, 15-4, 15-5.
The win moved the Loggers to a 11-0 in division play with only today's battle against second-place Paisley left.
The Broncos are 10-1, their only loss coming to Butte Falls, 16-14, 15-9.
We've got our hands full, said Loggers coach Mike Harrington.
A win today means Butte Falls would have to win only one match in the district playoffs Nov. 4 at Douglas High in Winston to qualify for the state tournament.
If Paisley wins today, the two teams would have a playoff to determine district seeding.

Most of her sets came from Jessica Dunlap, who had 14 assists. Freshman Brianna Smeltz led the Loggers in digs with six.
PROSPECT 15-15, HOSANNA 7-5 -At Klamath Falls, senior Tamera Applegate went 7-for-7 from the service line and had four digs to lead the Cougars to a conference win.
