Medford youth gymnasts fare well at Turkey meet
Twenty-one gymnasts representing the Ashland Family YMCA competed in the Turkey Invitational Gymnastics meet held Nov. 4 in Medford.
There were six teams represented from Southern Oregon and Northern California.
Competing in Level 5, Danielle Baize and Hannah Darling qualified to participate in the Sectional meet held on Saturday, Nov. 11 in Roseburg.
Level 6 gymnast Molly Thivierge qualified for the State meet, which will be in Portland on Nov. 18.
Season tickets available for Heat football
Season tickets for the Southern Oregon Heat Professional Indoor Football team are now on sale and can be purchased at the sales office at 33 N. Central Ave., Suite 332, Medford.

Registration coming up for youth basketball
Registration for the Ashland Family YMCA Youth Basketball League will run from Nov. 14 through Dec. 14.
Registration will be held at the Ashland YMCA with practices and games being played at the local elementary school gyms.
The league is for ages 3-14 with play beginning on Jan. 20. Cost is $15 for YMCA members and $35 for non-members with Scholarships available to those who qualify.

Medford Parks gets set for basketball league
The Medford Parks and Recreation Department will accept team and individual registration for Men's Over 40 and Men's Over 50 Basketball Leagues through Friday, Dec. 1.
League play starts Jan. 3-4 at Hedrick Middle School and South Medford High Gymnasiums.
Individuals interested in participating may place their name on a free agent player's list or register as an individual player and teams will be formed from those registered.

YMCA Gym-n-Swim night slated for Nov. 17
The Ashland Family YMCA is putting on a gym-n-swim night for middle school students on Friday, Nov. 17 from 9-11 p.m.
The event is for students grades 6-8 with a $2 cost for YMCA members and $5 for non-members. No pre-registration is required.
Students should arrive between 9 and 10 p.m. and adult supervision is provided.
