Tornado boys top Pels in tennis

In the final Southern Oregon Conference boys tennis dual match of the season, North Medford coach Chad Empee went with an all-senior singles lineup.

The Black Tornado upperclassmen responded by sweeping the five singles matches without losing a set in an 8-1 win over visiting Klamath Union at District Courts.

The victory, which took just about one hour, improves North to 8-1 in the SOC.

"I didn't expect that strong of a showing because most of them are doubles players," Empee said. "We gave them a chance and they responded well."
