TOP HITTERS: Carl Fairburn, Brian Kinsman, Morgan Grohs and Kirk Cunningham.

NOTABLE: This marks Klamath Falls' fifth consecutive appearance in the AAA state tournament. The Falcons have claimed the crown nine times, most recently in 2000.---

DAVID DOUGLAS

COACH: Mike Myer.

TOP PITCHERS: Brandon Jeffers, Mark Hamel, Eric Gefre and Kelly Papenbeck.

EUGENE

NOTABLE: Champions of Area 4 with a 21-3 league record. Nelson, who plays first base, third base and pitches, is headed to Oregon State and has tied the Challenger record with 17 home runs this summer.---

PENDLETON

NOTABLE: Pendleton, champion of Area 1, is in the AAA state tournament for the first time since 1996.---

ROSEBURG

TOP PITCHERS: Garrett Stembridge, Andrew Renyer, Nick Waechter, Mike Myhre and Jason Stevenson.

TOP HITTERS: Kellen Walker and Ben Cooper.

NOTABLE: Roseburg has reached the state tournament the last five years and has been on the losing end in two championship games.---

LAKERIDGE

NOTABLE: Mason, a second-team all-state selection in the spring, will play at Pomona College in the fall.---

MEDFORD
