Anna Lilly
was named MVP of the Oregon team for her performance at the USA Junior National tournament in Columbus, Ohio, from July 22-28.
Lilly, a 5-foot-6 junior-to-be at North Medford High, played mostly wing for the nine-member Oregon squad but also got time at point guard and in the post due to injuries.
She was named second-team All-American in the weeklong event, which featured players from nearly every state and was run by college coaches.
Bowling
Duane Russell
rolled his first 300 game on Aug. 7 in the Reno League at Lava Lanes.
Russell sandwiched a 188 and 208 game around his perfect effort for a 696 series.
Kevin Henley
bowled his first 300 game in the Reno League at Lava Lanes.
Henley, who has rolled several 299 games, added games of 182 and 258 for a 740 series. He maintains a 212 average.
