Melissa Gmur, an eighth grader at Grace Christian School, Recently received the David Kelly State President Award for Most Outstanding Shooter — Girls Division for participating in the Elks National Hoop Shoot Contest. She made 20 of 25 free throws at the State Final.
Gmur won at the local, district, and state levels. She finished fourth at the Regional Shoot-Off and will be attending Cascade Christian High School in the fall.

recently signed a letter-of-intent to continue her collegiate career at Oregon Institute of Technology.
Young, who pitched for Panhandle State in Oklahoma and recorded a 4-2 mark with two shutouts, will be a sophomore at OIT.
