Talent police engaged in a high speed chase with a Central — Point man wanted on a Jackson County arrest warrant.

At — p.m., officer Darin George attempted to pull a vehicle — over for a traffic violation on Highway 99 at Creel Road. Joshua Derushe — fled the scene, heading toward Ashland going at speeds as high as 90 mph, — George said. Derushe passed several vehicles and went through a red light — before turning around on North Main Street at Gray Street in Ashland and — heading back toward Talent. On the 2400 block of North Valley View Road, — Derushe lost control of the vehicle and ran into a ditch.

It was discovered he was a walk away from a work release — program. Derushe was arrested on the outstanding warrant, eluding police — and possessing amphetamine. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail in — Medford and lodged without bail.

10:18 p.m. Monday - A vehicle was pulled over for traffic — violations on Jacqueline Way at Jacquelyn Street. The officer reported — an overwhelming odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. An Ashland — woman, 20, admitted to being in possession of marijuana. She was arrested — for driving under the influence of marijuana and being in possession of — less than an ounce of marijuana.

6 p.m. Monday - Unknown subject stole a 2004 Kawasaki — motorcycle valued at $5,000 from the 500 block of Helman Street.

4:05 p.m. Monday - A 1990 Suzuki motorcycle valued at — $1,750 was reported stolen from a bed of a pickup truck on the 200 block — of Oak Street.

2:20 a.m. Monday - A gray van struck a vehicle on the — 1500 block of Walker Avenue, causing $1,000 damage.
