Ex-Crater star McLeod receives basketball award
MISSOULA, Mont. ' Former Crater High standout Jody McLeod received the Theresa Rhoads Coaches Award at the University of Montana women's basketball banquet Wednesday.
The award is given to a player that best exemplifies women's basketball at Montana.
McLeod, a 6-0 senior forward with the Grizzlies, averaged 6.1 points and 6.2 rebounds for her career and finished with 727 career boards, falling two shy of breaking into the Montana career top-10 list.
McLeod, who earned honorable mention All-Big Sky Conference honors as a junior, had 21 career double-figure rebounding games and 10 career double-doubles.
SOU spring football game set Saturday at 2 p.m.
The Southern Oregon University football team caps its spring practice schedule on Saturday, May 6 with the school's annual Red & Black intrasquad game.
The sixth-annual contest will be held at Raider Stadium starting at 2 p.m.
The hour-and-a-half controlled scrimmage will be immediately followed by a barbecue for players, coaches, family and program boosters.
