Drug probe closes board shop

ROGUE RIVER - A string of searches by drug investigators has led to the closure of Vinnie's Board Shop and the arrest of Vincent Gerald Bologna Jr., 47.

Bologna is lodged in the Jackson County Jail on charges of possession and delivery of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine. Bail is set at $35,000.

Rogue River police and Jackson County Narcotics Enforcement Team served a search warrant at the skateboard shop at about 7:45 a.m. today, Rogue River Police Chief Ken Lewis said. Drug packaging materials were found and the shop was closed, he said.

Investigators also searched Bologna's Evans Valley home and found a small grove of marijuana, Lewis said.

The search warrants were obtained after months of investigation by JACNET into rumors that drugs were sold at the skate shop, authorities said.
