Harry & David, jetboats, canoe trail make national list
Several area attractions have made the map — the Rand McNally map — as "must see" destinations in the its Best of the Road survey for 2010.
Harry & David's Country Village and company tours in Medford, Hellgate Jetboat Excursions in Grants Pass and the Upper Klamath National Wildlife Refuge canoe trail made the annual list. More distant regional stops included Happy Trails Cowboy Campground in Chiloquin, Nibbley's Cafe in Klamath Falls and the Railroad Park Resort and RV Campground in Dunsmuir, Calif.,
"Every year, our editors seek out and drive some of the best and most scenic trips in the nation to find our Best of the Road winners," Rand McNally Editorial Director Laurie Borman said in a statement. "Spots such as the Harry & David Tour we've highlighted, really capture the charm and local flavor of the destinations."
The local attractions are included in one of about three dozen regional road trips with suggested stops.
