Hanley Farm's 'Vintage Vines'

Hanley Farm will celebrate the region's historical agriculture heritage with "Vintage Vines: Wines with their Roots in Southern Oregon" on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m.

The afternoon event features wines and foods from local farms including six local wineries housed in historic properties. Vintages from Roxy Ann, Edenvale, Pallet, Del Rio, South Stage Cellars, and Quady North will be poured and paired with local, sustainable foods by McCully House. The Hanley Farm House and gardens will be open for tours, and guests will enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides and bluegrass music by Roper's Bunion Band.

The event is a fundraiser for the Southern Oregon Historical Society. Hanley Farm is a 39-acre Century Farm that includes the region's oldest barn, exhibits of farm equipment, heritage gardens and a house built in the 1850s that still includes all of the Hanley family artifacts. The farm is located at 1053 Hanley Road (Highway 238) between Jacksonville and Central Point.

Tickets are $30 each, $40 day of the event. They can be purchased at Hanley Farm, Jacksonville Museum, the History Center in Downtown Medford and at all participating wineries. For more information or to purchase tickets, please call Hanley Farm 773-2675 or visit www.sohs.org.
