The woman who was driving an SUV that careened off Upper Applegate Road July 17 in a crash that killed her son and his girlfriend and injured six other young people has been charged with manslaughter, assault and reckless driving.

Their other friends in the vehicle included Heather Jones, 18; Donald Nelson, 19; Isis Leiby, 18; Steve Crozier, 20; Abram Arnold, 20; and a 17-year-old girl whose name wasn't released for her own protection.
