TC Chevy of Ashland has donated $10,000 to the Mt. Ashland Ski Area. The auto dealer is the official auto sponsor of Mount Ashland and is supplying financial assistance to the ski area toward the purchase of two vehicles.

The $10,000 cash donation is in addition to the auto sponsorship contributions.

The ski area recently announced a fundraising goal of $350,000 after having one of the worst ski seasons in 20 years.

Local businesses can contribute to the fundraising effort by joining the list of Ashland Gold Sponsors with a $2,500 donation. Gold Sponsor businesses receive two transferable Gold Ski Passes, recognition in the ski lodge and a tax deduction of $1,100.

The ski area also is seeking tax-deductible donations from individuals in any amount. For information or to make a donation, call 541-482-2897 or see the ski area's website at www.mtashland.com.
