Remote-control air show this weekend
The Rogue Eagles Radio Control Club will present the club's 32nd annual Remote-Control Air Show this weekend to benefit the Children's Miracle Network at Rogue Regional Medical Center,
The show will begin at noon Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 18-19, at the Agate Airway, near Agate Lake. Gates open at 10:30 a.m.
The Rogue Eagles will fly two shows featuring World War I, World War II, civilian and large-scale airplanes. The event will also include RC helicopters and jet demonstrations. Food and drink will be available.
All gate donations will go to the Children's Miracle Network, which supports children receiving treatment at RRMC.
Suggested donation is $3 per adult; children 12 and under are free.
To get to the airfield, take Highway 62 to Highway 140 and turn east toward Klamath Falls. Drive four miles, then turn right on Antelope Road and drive past the Stone Ridge Golf Course. The entrance to the airfield and Agate Lake is on the right.
