Camelot Theatre lifts curtain on its 2014 season
Camelot Theatre Company's 2014 season will include four musicals, three plays, four musical spotlights and a Conservatory musical.
The season will begin with the theater Conservatory's Junior Company presentation of "Rockin' Broadway," playing Jan. 2-5.
Next up Jan. 9-19 will be "Spotlight on Loretta Lynn," starring Camelot's Artistic Director Livia Genise, with Bob Jackson Miner joining her for duets and narration.
Camelot's first play of the season will be "Driving Miss Daisy" by Alfred Uhry, playing Jan. 29 through March 2. The Pulitzer Prize-winning play will star Shirley Patton, Steven Dominguez and Roy Von Rains Jr.
From March 19 through April 20, Camelot will present "The Producers."
Camelot will offer another Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning play, Neil Simon's "Lost in Yonkers," May 7 through June 1.
Pat O'Scannell will star in "Spotlight on Edith Piaf" June 5-15.
Camelot's summer musical is "Les Miserables," playing June 25 through July 27.
Camelot's Conservatory will present six performances of its six-week summer camp musical, Irving Berlin's "Annie Get Your Gun," Aug. 7-10.
A country-western musical, "Pump Boys & Dinettes," will play Aug. 20 through Sept. 21.
"Spotlight on Johnny Mercer" is scheduled for Sept. 25 through Oct. 5.
"The Lion in Winter," starring Don Matthews as Henry II and Genise as Eleanor of Aquitaine, will run Oct. 15 through Nov. 9.
The final spotlight offering of 2014 will be "Spotlight on Irving Berlin," starring Gayle Wilson and George Rubalof.
Camelot will close its 2014 season with "Fiddler on the Roof," running Dec. 3 through Jan. 4, 2015.
Camelot Theatre's ticket prices for all spotlights in 2014 are $18 for previews and $24 for regular performances. Tickets for plays cost $10 for previews, $24 for students and seniors and $26 for adults. Tickets for musicals cost $12 for previews, $25 for students and seniors and $27 for adults. The Conservatory productions cost $7 for students and $12 for adults. Season subscriptions are available at 10 to 15 percent off regular prices.
