UO Marching Band to perform during North Medford playoff game
The University of Oregon Marching Band will perform during North Medford's first-round playoff football game on Nov. 8.
The band will perform during halftime at Spiegelberg Stadium and join the Black Tornado Marching Band in the stands during the game. Spectators can also watch the Oregon Marching Band warm up at 6 p.m. on that Friday.
North Medford goes into the playoffs as the 2013 Southwest Conference champions, having beat Roseburg 14-10 Friday to round out its undefeated conference season.
The Black Tornado's comeback win over Roseburg denied Sheldon a chance at a fifth straight conference title and allowed North Medford to join South Medford as the only other teams to have earned the SWC crown beside Sheldon since the league was formed in 2006.
It's the first outright title for the Black Tornado since 2003, an about-face for a program that went winless only two years ago. North Medford shared the conference title in 2005, which was also its last winning season until this year.
