Hearts With a Mission gets grant

The Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation recently awarded a $7,500 grant to Hearts With a Mission, the Medford-based nonprofit announced today.

The grant will go toward providing a variety of 24-hour support services for homeless youth at the Hearts With a Mission shelter, the organization said in a press release.

Hearts With A Mission is a nonprofit organization that provides temporary housing for homeless youth between the ages of 10 and 17 in Jackson County.

The Cow Creek Band of the Umpqua Tribe of Indians formed the foundation in 1997 to support nonprofit organizations in Douglas, Coos, Lane, Deschutes, Klamath, Jackson and Josephine counties.
