Medford author pens book about stray dog

Medford resident Karen Scott has written a book based on her connections with a homeless dog that eventually came to trust her.

"Sweet Pea: The Homeless Dog Who Could Not Be Caught" is published by Abbott Press.

Scott describes the book as "an inspirational true story about a feral, homeless dog, with eight puppies, who with love and trust became my life teacher."

Scott attended college at Southern Oregon State College and has lived in the Rogue Valley for nearly 40 years.

The book is available on Amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, Abbott Press.com and several e-book venues.

The book is $16.95 for paperback and $25.95 for hard back.
