Adroit Construction Co. has named Sam McLaughlin as their newest project engineer. A recent graduate of Oregon State University, McLaughlin graduated with a major in construction engineering management and a minor in business. During college, he was a member of the student chapter of Associated General Contractors for two years. He also competed in the Associated Schools of Construction competition in Reno, Nev.,this year in the "mixed-use" category.
Lyle McCaw, an American Family Insurance agent in Medford, has earned the American Star Excellence in Customer Experience award for the seventh year. He has been an agent for American Family since December 1999. Agencies whose customer satisfaction ratings are among the top 20 percent nationwide are eligible.
Tom Skinner has joined AmericanWest Bank as vice president and commercial banking relationship manager. He most recently worked for Key Bank in Medford and prior to that spent 10 years with Umpqua in Medford. He was a senior commercial banking manager for both institutions. Skinner earned his bachelor's degree at Indiana University.
Amanda Olson has been named director of Women's Health at Jackson County Physical Therapy. Olson earned her bachelor's degree from Pacific University and her doctoral degree from Regis University in Denver in 2008 as a member of the Jesuit National Honor Society. In 2008, she worked in Nicaragua for a month teaching new treatment principles to Nicaraguan pediatric health care professionals. She has worked in a variety of settings, including Shriner's Hospital for Children in Portland and an outpatient clinic in Seattle. Olson joined Jackson County Physical Therapy's Phoenix office in 2012, moving to its Medford clinic in 2013.
