Juice Bar

The popularity of Ashland Food Co-op's juice bar lead to a major renovation earlier this year to accommodate more customers and foster a better environment for creating custom juices and smoothies.

"To my knowledge, no one else in the Rogue Valley is making juice and smoothies like we are," says Michelle O'Connor, the co-op's deli manager. "All of our ingredients are organic or Non-GMO Project Verified and taste great. We do not use pre-made mixes or add fillers. We have a diverse menu of supplements and boosters for people to customize a juice for their particular health purposes and personal taste."

Along with the new look, the juice bar has some new products. A popular breakfast choice is the acai bowls — "a smoothie in a bowl." O'Connor describes the dish as a thick smoothie made with acai and house-made cashew milk with a variety of toppings available including goji berries, cashews and house-made granola.

The juice bar also now has Brew Dr. Kombucha on tap. Though there are some new juices and shakes on the menu, their best-selling juice blend remains "The Green Hornet," made from kale, celery, cucumber, apple, parsley and spinach.

"All our products are made fresh in the moment customized just for you," O'Connor says.
